Why we exist, and the promise behind every bag
Dear fellow dog parents,
Loyal Saints didn't start in a boardroom or a lab. It started on a kitchen floor, with a dog named King who wasn't getting better.
King had chronic digestive issues and food allergies. The vet kept telling me his food was "fine." But I watched him every day, and "fine" wasn't what I saw. So I did what any stubborn dog mom would do: I went down the rabbit hole. Ingredient lists. Sourcing. The difference between feed-grade and human-grade. Why kibble is cooked at temperatures that destroy the very nutrients it then adds back synthetically. What "complete and balanced" actually means — and how little it tells you about quality.
I formulated King's food myself: whole, human-grade ingredients, freeze-dried so nothing was cooked away, complete and balanced through real food instead of a synthetic premix. And King changed. His energy came back. His coat changed. His digestion settled. That transformation is the entire reason this company exists — and it's the standard I hold every formula to. Before anything ships, I ask one question: would I feed this to King?
That's also why you'll notice we do things differently. We make one thing — freeze-dried raw complete meals — and nothing else. We don't use soy, corn, wheat, fillers, by-products, or a synthetic vitamin premix. We're woman-owned, and we grew quietly, dog mom to dog mom, because the results spoke louder than any ad we could have run.
Our philosophy has a name: Live Longer Together. It's the belief that the food in the bowl every day is the most powerful, most overlooked lever you have over how many good years you get with your dog. Not a supplement. Not a fad. Just real food, fed consistently, for a lifetime.
I'll write to you every quarter — honestly — about what we're building, what we're learning, where we're falling short, and how we're getting better. You trusted us with the most important member of your family. The least I can do is keep you close to the people and the dog behind the brand.
Thank you for being here. Here's to more years, more walks, more mornings together.
With gratitude,
Kristina Voltin
