Loyal Saints comes in three single-protein formulas. Pick based on your dog’s needs:
- Beef — Most nutrient-dense. Great for active dogs, picky eaters, and healthy adults. Our bestseller.
- Chicken — Leanest and gentlest. Best for sensitive stomachs, dogs new to raw, or those needing lighter digestion.
- Turkey + Salmon — Most omega-rich. Best for dull coats, joint issues, senior dogs, and brain health. The DHA in wild salmon is especially powerful.
Not sure? Start with Beef. It’s the safest default for most dogs. You can always rotate later.
Step 2 — Transition Gradually (7–10 Days)
Don’t switch cold turkey — even the best food can cause loose stool if introduced too fast. The gut needs time to adjust its microbiome.
- Days 1–2: 75% old food + 25% Loyal Saints
- Days 3–4: 50% old food + 50% Loyal Saints
- Days 5–6: 25% old food + 75% Loyal Saints
- Days 7+: 100% Loyal Saints
Sensitive dog? Extend each phase by 1–2 days. Loose stool during transition is normal and temporary. Persistent issues beyond 2 weeks warrant a vet check.
Step 3 — How Much to Feed
Start with the feeding chart printed on your bag, then adjust to body condition — you should be able to feel (but not see) your dog’s ribs.
Portions will look small, and that is the point. Freeze-dried raw has the water removed, so the same nutrition takes up a fraction of the space. The 2–3% of body weight rule you may have read describes fresh raw, which is mostly water — applying it to what you scoop from the bag would badly overfeed your dog.
Active dogs eat toward the high end. Less active or senior dogs eat toward the low. See our full feeding guide for exact portions by weight.
Dry or Rehydrated?
Loyal Saints can be served either way:
- Dry: Convenient, great as a topper or training treat. Crunchy texture most dogs love immediately.
- Rehydrated (recommended): Add warm water, let sit 5–10 minutes. Improves hydration, digestibility, and aroma. Better for puppies, seniors, and dogs prone to dehydration.
Always have fresh water available regardless of how you serve it.
Storage
- Unopened: Store in a cool, dry place. Shelf-stable for 12–24 months.
- Opened: Reseal tightly or transfer to an airtight container. Use within 4–6 weeks for best quality.
- Rehydrated leftovers: Refrigerate and use within 24 hours. Do not leave rehydrated food out at room temperature.
What to Expect in the First 30 Days
Week 1–2
Some dogs have loose stool during transition — this is normal as the gut microbiome adjusts. Energy and curiosity toward food typically increases immediately.
Week 2–4
Coat begins to look shinier. Stool firms up and reduces in volume (a sign of better absorption — less waste means more is being used). Breath often improves.
Month 2+
The longest-lasting benefits — energy, mobility, skin and coat, digestion — become fully apparent. Many owners notice changes in their dog’s weight, muscle tone, and overall vitality by the second or third bag.
Halo Club Questions
How does Halo Club work?
You choose your protein and delivery frequency. Your first box ships at 40% off with code KING40. As a Halo Club member, every box after that is 20% off with free shipping. You can pause, skip, or cancel anytime from your account — no phone calls, no fees.
How do I change my delivery frequency?
Log into your account, go to your subscriptions, and adjust the frequency to match how fast your dog goes through a bag. Most owners figure out their cadence by bag two or three.
Can I switch proteins on my subscription?
Yes. Log into your account and update your subscription to a different formula at any time. Many owners rotate between proteins once their dog has been introduced to each one.
What if my dog doesn’t like it?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on first orders. If your dog genuinely won’t eat it within 30 days of delivery, contact us at info@loyalsaintspets.com and we’ll make it right.
How do I cancel?
Log into your account → Subscriptions → Cancel. No hoops, no phone calls, no fees. We’d rather you cancel than be stuck with food your dog won’t eat.
