How Much Freeze-Dried Food Should I Feed My Dog?

2 min read By Loyal Saints

Feeding freeze-dried raw is simple once you know the right amount. Portions depend on your dog's weight, activity level, and whether you're feeding it as a topper or a complete meal. Here's how to dial it in.

Feeding by weight (as a complete meal)

  • Small (under 20 lbs): ¼ – ½ cup per day
  • Medium (20–50 lbs): ½ – 1 cup per day
  • Large (50–90 lbs): 1 – 1¾ cups per day
  • Giant (90+ lbs): 1¾ – 3 cups per day

Split the total across two meals, and adjust for activity—couch companions need a little less, athletes a little more.
