Why Turkey with Salmon?
Turkey is a lean protein and a useful option for dogs who do better away from red meat. Salmon brings EPA and DHA, the long-chain omega-3 fatty acids. Together they make our most nutritionally diverse formula, and the one owners most often reach for when they want a change from beef or chicken. Add in Tart Cherry, Strawberry, and Chlorella and you have a bowl that works as hard as your dog does.

Is freeze-dried raw food better than kibble?
In the ways that can be measured, yes. Kibble is cooked at high heat, which can degrade heat-sensitive vitamins and damage lysine, an essential amino acid. Freeze-drying never cooks the food — and in a 2024 controlled feeding study, dogs digested 94% of the protein in a freeze-dried raw diet against 82% in an extruded kibble, and produced less than half the stool. You get raw nutrition with the convenience of dry food. Because it is raw, handle it as you would raw meat: wash hands, bowls and scoops after serving.
How do I transition my dog to freeze-dried food?
Over 10 days: Days 1–3 at 25% new food, Days 4–6 at 50%, Days 7–9 at 75%, Day 10 at 100%. If your dog has a known fish sensitivity, introduce this formula after they've settled on our Chicken or Beef formula first.
Are Loyal Saints ingredients human-grade?
Yes. Every ingredient meets USDA human food safety standards. "Human-grade" isn't just a marketing term for us — it means every ingredient was sourced from facilities approved for human consumption. How long does a bag last for my dog's size?
At 230 Kcal per cup: a 5oz bag contains approximately 2.8 cups; a 14oz bag contains approximately 7.8 cups. Divide your dog's daily serving into the total cups to find your bag duration. Drying food slows bacteria down. It does not make food safe on its own — so we do not rely on it. Our manufacturing partner describes three controls between their kitchen and her bowl.
High pressure processing
Before freeze-drying, the raw food is held under intense cold-water pressure — high pressure processing (HPP), a recognized pathogen-reduction step that works without cooking.
